Our history

Heka Dental ApS was founded in 1965 by HEnning and KArl Christensen.
1 January 1975 the company was taken over by the present owner, Mr B Steen Nielsen, and continued to operate as a commercial firm importing dental equipment from Faro, Bien Air, Trophy Radiology and others.

In the 1980s Heka Dental introduced the first unit to the dental business and the company changed from being mainly an import firm to being a manufacturing company with exports to European countries.

The production department is managed by autonomous work groups which gives the employees considerable independence and responsibility leading to products of high and uniform quality.
Furthermore, the high standard of quality is ensured due to our ISO certification, which implyes an audit twice a year in order to check whether we maintain our quality standard.

The parts used in our production are purchased from established suppliers and are checked before being used in the production.

In order to create an open and friendly environment in the production department, there are windows between all production areas and the storage facilities. The administration staff is working in an open-plan office so that the information flows freely between the departments.

In 2002 Heka Dental ApS was awarded the Initiative Prize of The Confederation of Danish Industries for Copenhagen and environs. The prize was awarded on the following grounds:
